Cornell Kinderknecht

Expertise: Cornell Kinderknecht is an award-nominated World Flutes recording artist, performer and instructor. His unique musical style draws from his experience in the genres of classical, folk, world, pop and jazz. He has multiple albums to his credit and his work can be heard on numerous other artists' recordings in multiple genres. Cornell has been nominated multiple times as "Musician of the Year" at the Texas Music Awards and he and his music have been featured on the nationally syndicated television program, "Art of Living Gallery." He has recorded music for advertisements and a PBS series. He is in high demand as a performer and presenter at music workshops and festivals around the US.

Cornell has been on the faculty at the Zion Canyon Native Flute School as the advanced flute instructor since 2009. He has also been a performer and instructor at the Pacific Northwest Native American Flute Gathering, the Potomac Native American Flute Festival, the Native American Flute Chautauqua, the Oklahoma Flute Festival, and the Armadillo Flute Society Retreat. In addition to being a popular instructor at Native flute festivals, Cornell as a private studio of Native and World flutes students in Dallas, Texas. His ongoing "Learn the Native American Flute" series of group classes in the Dallas area have been highly popular. His teaching style is practical and fun and his approach puts students at ease.

Cornell holds a music degree in woodwind performance. He has studied early music (Baroque and Renaissance) performance practice with some of the finest instructors in the world.

Cornell is available for instruction on numerous world flutes including Native American flute, Anasazi flute, bansuri flute from India, bamboo flutes, recorder and ocarina.
