Stephanie Baldridge

Stephanie has been teaching, playing and performing on the Native American Flute since her studies with Michael Tlayo Quijas in 1996. She has a Masters in Clinical & Counseling Psychology, researching Healing and the Native American Flute, and is the Facilitator of Cascadia Flute Circle (www.cascadiaflutecircle.org) in the Portland, OR, Metro Area. She has taught at NARA, NW, a drug and alcohol rehab program for Native Americans of all Tribes and Nations; NAYA (Native American Youth Association); and the Title VII Oregon Indian Education Program in both Hillsboro and Salem, OR. Stephanie also plays the Native American Flute monthly for the Wilshire United Methodist Native American Fellowship's Native Services, in Portland, OR.

She received a grant for her program, “Healing Notes: Native American-Style Flute for Healing & Transition,” a service which includes playing the Native American Flute for people recovering from illness, injury, or surgery at home, in convalescent homes or facilities, or in hospital; and people awaiting transition at home, in hospice or hospital.
She was also a guest artist on a NAMMY-nominated performance DVD, and a NAMMY-nominated CD.

Stephanie is also available for private lessons (both on-line and in person), workshops, lectures, births, weddings, funerals/memorials, and other special performances.
